Ramsgate Tunnels

Beneath Ramsgate lies an abandoned labyrinth of tunnels which extends for more than 3 miles around the town. This unique underground city was constructed as part of the town’s Air Raid Precautions in 1939 and includes a former main line railway tunnel dating back to 1863.

Sorbetto
There has been an ice cream parlour at 76 Harbour Parade for over 70 years. In 2014, the parlour was bought by Nick and Rachel who are continuing the tradition of great Italian ice cream at the Ramsgate seaside.

The distinctive “lighthouse” mural on the outside of the pub serves as a homage to the sea, specifically referencing the shipwreckers who historically lured sailors to the Ramsgate shores.
