Ramsgate Boating Pool
The boating pool was originally a bandstand with a tea pavilion, opened in August 1929.
Today it’s a family friendly bar, cafe, pizza and live music venue with art exhibitions.
Café & Bar :
Café – casual dining, breakfast, pizza, lunch. Roasts on Sundays. Lots of outside seating overlooking the Boating Pool.
Bar – regularly booked for private hires, wedding receptions, parties etc. Lots of outside seating overlooking the Boating Pool.
Activities :
The Boating Pool has pedalos you can hire during the summer holidays. The pool is also used on a regular basis (Thursday & Sunday 9:30 – 11 am) by the Ramsgate Model Boat Club.

Café: Monday – Sunday 09:00 – 15:00
Bar: Wednesday – Sunday 14:00 – 21:00 (Saturday’s until 22:00)
Open Top Bus:
The Boating Pool is the last stop on the Minnis Bay to Ramsgate seasonal Open Top Bus, which runs : –
- 3 – 19 April (Easter Holidays)
- 23 – 31 May (May half term)
- Weekends from 6 June
- Daily during the summer holidays (22 July – 31 August)
- 5 & 6 September
