We are very excited to announce that Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival will go ahead this year running from 11th June until 14th, it is going to be a four-day feast for your eyes, packed with short and feature length premieres! With hundreds of film submissions for this year’s fourth festival, they could not disappoint the entrants and have found a way to showcase their productions. Keep an eye out for one of our Ramsgate residents appearing in a short film on BBC Winterwatch starting on Tues 28th - 31st Jan 2020. Wildlife cameraman Richard Taylor-Jones was back filming in Ramsgate in December for his short wildlife film about looking at nature. Drone shots were also filmed in Courtstairs Park.

Ramsgate will welcome in the new decade with a 15 minute fireworks display from Main Sands at the stroke of midnight. For safety reasons, we can no longer fire from the harbour so are trialing the main sands this year. Please note that the lower promenade (between Wetherspoon and Ramsgate Tunnels) will be closed for one hour before and after the display and Wetherspoon's terraced areas will also be closed. The main sands will also be closed between 11pm on 31/12/2019 and 1am on 1/1/2020. The best viewing points will be from the east pier and east cliff promenade.
