Ramsgate Day
We are really excited to announce that Ramsgate Day is finally happening after it was first thought about just before lockdown! The idea for the event was about celebrating our independent businesses and variety of voluntary organisations and groups and the lovely town that we live in. We asked Jo Mapp, the event organiser to give us some idea what we can expect from this inaugural event.
“On 21st October Ramsgate Town centre will burst into life. Ramsgate Day will bring together local bands, buskers, dance troupes and much more.
The day will start will Samba Ya Wantsum drummers and as a band marches on its stomach, The Modern Boulangerie are supplying cake!
Lots of other shops and businesses are joining in the fun with a special Ramsgate Day cake from Union Yoga and Café, a give away of seeds with every purchase from Potters, loads of Magic Tenner Offers plus a 10% discount on all purchases from Brew coffee shop. Also, free nachos with eat-in burritos from Plan Burrito!
Adults can have a free sauna when the Sea Scrub Sauna brings its mobile sauna outside New Look for the day.
Kids can join in free pottery and craft classes at Discovery Planet and can get a free skateboarding workshop with Scorcha Skate School.
A whole day of fun for all the family with entry into the raffle with every purchase made in participating stores!
