Ramsgate is home to a wonderful array of wildlife. Join our knowledgeable experts offering nature walks, boat tours and kayaking safaris to get you closer to nature.

NORDIC WALKING
Step it up

Get outside and get active with Nordic walking – an enhanced technique using poles to give your upper body and legs more of a workout. Plus, you get to explore our beautiful coastline at the same time!

WILDLIFE TRIPS
Say hello to our seals

Safely spot these beautiful marine creatures in their natural habitat – by boat, by kayak or on foot.

SEA SWIMMING
Time to take a dip

With two beaches in our town, you can double-dip in the sea! For a more secluded spot, join a friendly community of sea swimmers at high tide along Western Undercliff.

OUTDOOR SOUND BATH
Try a sonic massage

A sound bath – or gong bath – is like a sonic massage that is great for physical release. And you can try one in the tranquility of nature, with an outdoor experience.

    Ramsgate to Pegwell Nature Walk

Join Keith Ross wildlife filmmaker on a six mile Nature Walk from Ramsgate Westcliff to Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve.

The walk can be done at any time of year but the wildlife will vary with the seasons. Depending on the time of year we would hope to see a wide variety of wildlife including the worlds fastest bird the Peregrine Falcon, migrating Cuckoo & Nightingale and views of basking Common Seals & waders in the Bay. It won’t be just birds though as we’d expect to see Lizard, Slow worms, Butterfly and Dragonfly.
