Thanet Diving and Watersports, based in Ramsgate on the southeastern coast of Kent is a professional scuba diving school intent on providing you with the highest standard of diver training. Our philosophy is to teach safe diving in a relaxed way. This is passed down to staff who all value the high attention to standards and best practices.
We aim to provide a friendly fun and relaxed atmosphere during all our training sessions. To ensure each student gets the most instructor attention and enjoyment, class sizes are kept to small groups. Dedicated Instructors and Dive Masters assist on all courses.
During open water dives we aim to offer individually tailored training on a one to one / small group basis which not only increases student confidence but helps maintains our 100% safety record and reputation for quality of training. Our instructors are members of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), and / or The British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) and are all first aid trained with rescue training as standard.
We are so enthusiastic about diving we want to share our passion, experiences, knowledge and love of diving with you. We wish to provide an opportunity to explore the habitat and splendours of the underwater environment to all. Scuba diving is a fascinating and exhilarating sport, which provides a great deal of fun, pleasure for all ages, from 8 years old and offers a great opportunity to meet new like-minded people.
Equipment Servicing, Repairs and Sales
From our shop in Ramsgate harbour, we also service the vast majority of dive regulators and equipment to the highest and insured standards. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, quick and cost effective service. We also sell spares and dive / water sports equipment and clothing for all ages.
Air / Nitrox Fills
We will also shortly be able to offer fully servicing of dive cylinders and air and nitrox fills.
