Maderia Walk Waterfall leading up to Albion Place Gardens
The Madeira Walk Waterfall is a striking man-made artificial cascade built inside a dramatically engineered chalk gorge. Steep banks of the gorge are shored up using historic, stratified artificial Pulhamite rock.
Albion Place Gardens
Perched immediately above the waterfall on the clifftop is Albion Place Gardens, a triangular public park and gardens offering panoramic views over Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour.
The waterfall and gardens are one of the most picturesque parts of Ramsgate.
War Memorial :
The Albion Gardens War Memorial (also known as the Destiny Peace Memorial) is located within the gardens. It’s a unique, Grade II listed monument, the centrepiece is a solitary, draped female figure crafted by the prominent British sculptor Gilbert Bayes.
Ramsgate Raven :
Look out for the colourful ‘Stained Glass Raven‘ sitting above the waterfall. It’s one of the Ravens on the Ramsgate Raven Trail.
