With less than a week to go before the fabulous Festival of Sound make their entrance with a Screaming Alley Cabaret at the newly restored Ellington Park, the town is gearing up for TEN days of sonic sensations! 

From 27th August through to 5th September, the Festival of Sound team has produced a fantastic and varied programme with something for all ages. 

Families with babies and young ‘uns have lots to choose from on both weekends in Ellington Park and Vale Square, while adults will enjoy a fantastic celebration of music at

‘Behind The Vale’ and jazz lovers will want to make a date for September 3rd when

Sabina Desir and Jessica Lauren celebrate the great Nina Simone and Ray Charles.

The Sonic Trail is free for all to attend as is the final Sunday with community singing featuring West End musicals and Busk at Dusk along the Marina Esplanade.
