June is a fun time to visit Ramsgate. There’s all sorts of events on, including :-
- A Pirates Festival (Ramsgate Town & Harbour).
- The Great Bucket & Spade Run in Government Acre (West Cliff).
- Comicon at the Museum and a Monster Truck Motorfest (Manston).
Ramsgate Pirates Festival 🏴☠️
The Ramsgate Pirates Festival 2026 takes place on the 6th of June, featuring a parade, pirate-themed entertainment, and costumed fun.
High Street
The Parade muster takes place at midday outside of Plunder. Dress up in your Pirates costumes and join the Parade. The Parade starts at 1:00pm.
The 6th of June is also the Grand Opening of ‘The Thanet Smuggler Experience’ at Plunder. This is a self-guided, walk-through experience that features a built-in pirate ship, atmospheric storytelling, and local lore about historical figures like notorious smuggler Joss Snelling. The Kentish Buccaneers will be there between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
Harbour Parade & Marina Esplanade
The Pirates Festival will include children’s workshops and live music from Hoy Boy and Two Tone Pirates at The New Belgium Bar, a family treasure hunt, a Pirate King & Queen competition, a children’s pirate show at Frankie’s@The Beach, a secret treasure hunt at the Boulevard Kiosk, pirate cocktails at A La Turke and lots more.
The Perico Lounge are having a ‘Pirate day’ with entertainment and live music in the evening.
Charlotte Court
The Horse & Groom are running an all day ‘Pirate Party’ with live music and lots of family fun.
Grange Road
The Conqueror Micropub in Grange Road is also taking part in the festival, there will be Sea Shanties and Pirate songs, Pirate Snacks and Rum Cocktails.
Ramsgate Royal Harbour
As well as all these ‘Pirate themed activities’ we have a very special visitor, the tall ship NAO Victoria, it’s moored in Ramsgate Harbour from the 4th to the 14th of June. It will be an amazing backdrop for the ‘Ramsgate Pirates Festival‘. You will be able to buy tickets for a tour on board this full-scale, historically accurate wooden replica of the first vessel to successfully sail around the globe.
Great Bucket & Spade Run 🪣
The Great Bucket & Spade Run is on the 7th of June, this is an annual classic car event, organized by the Ramsgate Old Motor and Motorcycle Club (ROMMCC), where over 350+ vehicles travel from Herne Garden Centre to Ramsgate’s Government Acre arriving at approximately 10:00am. There will be lots of food & drink stalls, bric a brac and children’s rides.
Monster Truck Motorfest 🛻
On the 13th and 14th of June there is a Monster Truck Motorfest at Manston Airport. There will also be a funfair, food village, live music & non-stop family fun all weekend long!

Armed Forces Weekend
There’s an Armed Forces Day Parade and Drumhead on the 27th of June at Harbour Parade.
Parade Timetable
- 10.40am: Parade starts at Military Road through to Harbour Parade ending at the Turning Circle.
- 11am: Drumhead Service at the Turning Circle.
- 11.40am: Parade resumes ending at Harbour Parade.
The 338 : Ramsgate Remembers installation on the Quayside will provide a powerful and moving backdrop. This would be a good day to see the 338 Silhouettes before they leave the harbour (the installation is scheduled to be dismantled on the 28th of June).

The Ramsgate Royal British Legion Club is hosting a weekend of celebration (27th-28th June) supporting veterans and the armed forces community, and on the 28th you can see the ‘British Warship Display‘ exhibit at Ramsgate Tunnels.
Boat Trips & Tourist Attractions
The sea is generally calmer at this time of the year, making it an ideal time to take a sightseeing boat trip (see Boat Trips Map below). It’s worth checking out some of the other Tourists attractions as well (see Tourist Attraction Map below).
Theatres, Musical Halls & Cinemas
The Granville Theatre and the Ramsgate Music Hall are hosting several events this month to keep you entertained throughout June (see below).

Local Hotels, Pubs, Bars and Cafés are hosting musical events and comedy events. Some events are being held in Ramsgate Clubs, check with them directly on their non members policy. The ‘June 2026 – Events in Ramsgate’ map below provides event information, location and contact information.
Comedy & Cabaret clubs
There’s the Ramsgate Comedy Club (Chuckl.) at the Granville theatre, Wilson’s Comedy Club at the Queen’s Head and Vaults Comedy at the Ramsgate Arts Club. The Alley Bar also hosts cabaret acts and comedians.
Writing, poetry and book clubs
There are book clubs at The Bedford Inn, The Ramsgate Arts Club and the Perico Lounge and writing groups at the Artillery Arms and The Book Hotel at The Falstaff which also has a regular Friday Book & Bar nights where the Book Shop is open into the evening.
Quiz nights
There are regular quiz nights at The Book Hotel at The Falstaff , The Bellevue Tavern, The Churchill Tavern, the San Clu Hotel, Violets and the Perico Lounge and a monthly live music quiz at the Queens Head on the 11th of June.
Draw-crawl
On the 20th of June there’s a ‘draw crawl’ finishing at The Bedford Inn.
World Cup matches
The following World Cup matches will be showing in several Ramsgate Pubs, including The Waterfront, The New Belgium Bar, The Crown, The Bedford Inn, The Windmill and St Lawrence Tavern :-

Exhibitions this month at local Art Galleries, Pop-up Galleries/Outdoor Installations and Hotels/Bars/Cafes with Gallery space include :
- ‘Where the Water Moves’ Art Exhibition by Emily Revell at The House Hotel : 1 April – 30 June.
- ‘The Dreaming Seeds’ Art Exhibition by Hannah Battershell at Ramsgate Arts Club : 20 March – 14 June.
- ‘Keeping Them Othered’ – Helga Dorothea Fannon (Resident Artist at Hold Creative Spaces : April to June). Exploring cycles of control and colonialism, and the tension between violence and power disguised as knowledge : 12 to 14 June.
- ‘Wild Country’ Exhibition by Donna Riddington – Exploring landscape as home and habitat in terms of value and conservation at Hold Creative Spaces : 26 to 28 June (private view 26 June, 6:00pm to 9:00pm).
- ‘Flash’ The Sculpture & Movement of Ron Hitchens at the Madsen Sylvester Studio: 30 May – 28 June.
- The 338 : Ramsgate Remembers outdoor visual art installation on the Ramsgate Royal Harbour Quayside (15 May -28 June).
- Work by several local artists (exhibition includes two Schnauzer portraits by Bob Jones) at Vincents Café.

- Ramsgate Friday Market (Every Friday in the Town Centre from 9:00am to 3:00pm).
- Manston Airfield Sunday Markets (Every Sunday from 08:30am to 3:00pm).
- St George’s Yard Sale (20 June from 10:00am-3:00pm).
- Dame Janet Makers Market (28 June).

The Open Top Bus
(Route 69)
The Open Top bus service is running every weekend in June.
The route runs from Minnis Bay to Ramsgate via Westbrook, Margate and Broadstairs.
