The Conqueror Alehouse

The Conqueror Alehouse is a historic micropub. Opened in 2010 by founder Colin Aris, it holds a significant place in British pub history as the very first micropub in Thanet and only the fourth ever established in the United Kingdom. It offers an intimate, distraction-free environment. There is no television, and no electronic gaming machines. Instead, it features cosy, inward-facing banquette seating and sofas designed strictly to foster local conversation.

The pub specializes in high-quality, traditionally managed local real ales and ciders served straight from the barrel. It does not serve mainstream keg lagers.

Accessibilty :

The interior is compact and tight, which can make maneuvering a wheelchair indoors very difficult or impossible.

Activities :

Real Ale & Cider Tastings, occasional Poetry and Book evenings and a regular quiz night. For more information on activities, see the Visit Ramsgate Monthly Events Calendar or check The Conqueror’s social media.

Dog friendly :

Yes. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
