Ramsgate Pottery
Ramsgate Pottery is a welcoming studio space where adults and children can learn and practise hand building and wheel pottery skills.
As well as hosting regular classes and workshops, the studio space and kiln are also available to hire for more experienced potters.
The studio was founded by Gillian Farrell, an established ceramics artist born in Belfast who studied Fine Art at the Winchester School of Art. Farrell specializes in creating one-off thrown and hand-built functional ceramics, defined by layered colours and gestural, painterly markings. Alongside running her own studio, she has taught art and ceramics at The King’s School in Canterbury and formerly served as the Head of Art at The Grey Coat Hospital School in Westminster.
