This month the clock’s spring forward an hour and ‘Spring’ officially begins on the 20th of March. Ramsgate prepares for Spring with ‘The Great Ramsgate Spring Clean’. This successful community-led initiative fosters significant local pride and the amazing work from the volunteers helps to make Ramsgate a great place to live, work and play for everyone.

Our Model Town
Ramsgate’s model village returns (sort of)!
For generations, Ramsgate’s model village on the West Cliff was a place of wonder. This month, that much-loved miniature world returns – re-imagined for today. Arts in Ramsgate is hosting a free community-led project from 5th–7th March, inviting residents to rebuild a miniature version of the town, celebrating its history, stories, and memories. You can even paint yourself into this model village.
International Womens Day
Pie Factory Music launched a project (HERSTORY Music Project) in February, with participants collaborating to create a powerful performance specifically for ‘International Women’s Day‘ (IWD) on the 8th of March. You can catch the performance at the IWD event hosted by Ramsgate Tandoori (1:00pm-3:30pm on the 8th), this event will also include Rushan’s Live cookery demo and a Raffle.

Mothers Day Weekend
Mothers day activities on 14th of March include ‘SIP and Paint’ at The Bedford Inn and a special Afternoon Tea at Violets.
On the 15th of March there’s a ‘SIP and Paint’ – with a Floral Theme at Gather&, a Mothers Day lunch at the San Clu and Mothers Day Afternoon Tea’s is served at The House Hotel (formally the Albion House Hotel) on the 14th and 15th.
Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival
The Ramsgate International Film & TV festival runs from 26th March to 29th March, this year it celebrates its 9th anniversary, and is set to showcase over 20 feature films and 120 shorts screened across several venues in Ramsgate. The opening gala is at the Granville Theatre and three short films made with Veterans will be shown before the screening of the feature film INVINCIBLE.

The closing film will be screened at the Palace Cinema, Broadstairs and the awards ceremony will be at the Pavilion next door.
The Best First Feature will be chosen by BAFTA and Golden Globe winner and Oscar-nominated Ramsgate local Brenda Blethyn and a panel of local film enthusiasts, deepening community involvement in the selection process.
Ramsgate Community Cinema
The Ramsgate Community Cinema is screening films, hosting Q&As, and a Networking Party as part of the ‘Ramsgate International Film and TV Festival‘.
The range of International films being screened on the 27th, 28th and 29th of March include :-
4 Paragon
There will be more films and animations shorts screening at 4 Paragon on the 27th of March.
Silvers
Silvers is screening three films, lots of short films, a documentary and hosting Q&As as part of the Ramsgate International Film and TV Festival.
The Falstaff
The Falstaff is also screening several films, experimental shorts and documentary shorts during the Ramsgate International Film and TV Festival. The range of films being screened include :-
Theatres & Musical Halls
The Granville Theatre and the Ramsgate Music Hall are hosting several events this month to keep you entertained throughout March (see below).

Hotels, Bars, Pubs, Cafés, Clubs and more
Local Hotels, Pubs, Bars and Cafés are hosting musical events and comedy events. Some events are being held in Ramsgate Clubs, check with them directly on their non members policy. The ‘March 2026 – Events in Ramsgate’ map below provides event information, location and contact information.
Comedy & Cabaret clubs
There’s the Ramsgate Comedy Club (Chuckl.) at the Granville theatre, Wilson’s Comedy Club at the Queen’s Head and Vaults Comedy at the Ramsgate Arts Club. The Alley Bar also hosts cabaret acts and comedians.
Writing, poetry and book clubs
There’s a poetry night at The Conqueror, book clubs at The Bedford Inn, The Ramsgate Arts Club and the Perico Lounge and writing groups at The Falstaff and the Artillery Arms.
Quiz nights
There are quiz nights at the Montifiore Arms, The Bellevue Tavern, The Churchill Tavern, the San Clu Hotel, the Queens Head, Violets, and Seabird.
There’s always lots going on in Ramsgate.
