The Viking Ship Cafe

The Viking Ship Cafe (also known as The Viking Cafe) in Pegwell Bay (Cliffsend) is a family-run outdoor-focused spot next to the historic Hugin Viking ship replica. It offers scenic estuary views, hot & cold drinks, Full English breakfast rolls, bacon sandwiches, paninis, burgers, soft-scoop ice cream, homemade cakes and vegan/gluten-free options. The cafe is based in a Kiosk and food is served takeaway-style (often in boxes).

The surrounding area operates as the Cliffsend Picnic Site (also known as Hugin Green) featuring open grass areas and picnic tables to enjoy the dramatic coastal views.

Free off-street parking on the grass. The cafe coordinate the Car Park barrier which typically closes at 5:00pm.
