Ramsgate Parakeets on Springwatch

A Ramsgate Parakeet family will feature on BBC Springwatch this year.

A special nest box camera has been filming for the past month in the attic of the Chilton Tavern.

The two part film will follow the nesting birds rearing a pair of chicks from just a few days old through to the fledging of the last chick from the attic space.

You can catch the first episode on Monday 11th June on BBC2 at 8pm and part two on Tuesday 12th.
