Ramsgate Winter Festival Finale
The big event this month is the finale of the Ramsgate Winter Festival. A spectacular community closing ceremony taking place on Sunday the 1st of February. This celebration marks the official launch of the “Ramsgate Rising” vision for 2026, which is part of Ramsgate’s Pride in Place Programme for regeneration. It aims to celebrate the town’s future direction through light, art, and community action.

There will be a lantern parade with Samba Ya Wantsum and the Giants, and events in St George’s Church.

The ‘Light Up Ramsgate‘ trail has been extended to 1st Feb, as part of the Winter Festival Finale too.


What’s happening on and around Valentine’s day in Ramsgate (13-15 Feb)?
For something a bit different you have a Pirates Valentine Bash at The New Belgium Bar on the 13th – Pirate fancy dress is encouraged and there’s a Treasure hunt and prizes.

The Foreign Embassy event at Gather& on the 13th – Love & Hate, a Pre-Valentine’s feast. The four course menu will be a journey through the two sentiments. Despite the alarming visuals below, they won’t be serving hearts or other obscure offal. The menu will be kept secret until you take your seat at the table.

Valentine’s Day Throwing lessons for 2 at Ramsgate Pottery on the 14th (check for available slots).
The ‘Sip & Paint your Partner’ event at Gather& on the 14th.

You also have Violets in St Lawrence High Street and The Home Front Tea Room in King Street doing special Valentine’s Day Afternoon Teas (booking required).

Seabird in Addington Street have a Valentine’s Weekender with cocktails & love songs on Friday the 13th, a Valentine’s Day menu with sharing platters on the 14th and a post Valentine’s Day brunch on Sunday the 15th.

Restaurant reservation are essential on Valentine’s Day, so why not book a table at a restaurant overlooking the beautiful Ramsgate Royal Harbour, or head out to the countryside for a indulgent Valentine’s lunch or dinner at Chapel House Estate.

During Half-term The Micro Museum have open days on the 14th & 21st of February (1:00 to 4:00pm) and the RAF Manston History Museum have a Lego event ‘Bricks at the Museum‘ from the 14th to the 22nd of February (10:00am-4:00pm).

Theatres, Musical Halls and Cinemas
Ramsgate is the home of The Granville Theatre and the award winning Ramsgate Music Hall, both venues are hosting lots of events to keep you entertained throughout February. Taylor Hall Theatre at St Lawrence College and Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School Theatre also have events this month.

The Police Panto ‘The Far Fetched Fable of Fanny Folkly’ is on the 19th, 20th and 21st of February.

Ramsgate Community Cinema
Don’t forget to check out what’s on at the Ramsgate Community Cinema. The cinema typically offers a diverse mix of films, from international cinema and documentaries to classics and independent features.

Local Hotels, Pubs, Bars and Cafes are hosting musical events and comedy events. There’s a poetry night at The Conqueror and quiz nights at The Bellevue Tavern, The Churchill Tavern, the San Clu Hotel, Violets, and Seabird.
