Ramsgate Winter Festival Finale
The big event this month is the finale of the Ramsgate Winter Festival on the 14th of February.
It’s a Love Thing
There will be Art workshops ‘It’s a Love Thing’ hosted by Arts in Ramsgate and Discovery Planet.

We are Ramsgate
Ramsgate Town Council will be launching a loyalty campaign ‘We are Ramsgate’ – Come and take your photo with the beautiful ‘We Are Ramsgate’ community heart, pick up a loyalty card and start collecting stamps while celebrating the people and places that make Ramsgate special.

Samba Ya Wantsum Parade
Samba Ya Wantsum will be at the Finale too with a drumming workshop and pop-up parade in Charlotte Court.
Light up Ramsgate
The ‘Light Up Ramsgate‘ trail has been extended into February. The installation from artist Jas Dhillon titled ‘Unconditional’ (located in Ramsgate Space) is on display every day from 4:00pm to 10:00pm until the 14th of February.
The 14th is also your last chance to check out The Mechanic Heart by Felicity Jones installed above the Horse & Groom, it has a special Valentine’s-themed lighting design by Light Up Ramsgate.


What else is happening on and around Valentine’s day in Ramsgate (13-15 Feb)?
For something a bit different you have a Pirates Valentine Bash at The New Belgium Bar on the 13th – Pirate fancy dress is encouraged and there’s a Treasure hunt and prizes.

Valentine’s Day Throwing lessons for 2 at Ramsgate Pottery on the 14th (check for available slots).
The ‘Sip & Paint your Partner’ event at Gather& on the 14th.

You also have Violets in St Lawrence High Street and The Home Front Tea Room in King Street doing special Valentine’s Day Afternoon Teas (booking required).

Seabird in Addington Street have a Valentine’s Weekender with cocktails & love songs on Friday the 13th, a Valentine’s Day menu with sharing platters on the 14th and a post Valentine’s Day brunch on Sunday the 15th.

Rakookoo founder and renowned Australian chef Rachel O’Sullivan is at Penelope in Harbour Street for a one-night Valentine’s Day pop-up of warm, indulgent food and natural wine.

The cosy basement restaurant in the Bedford Inn is another romantic spot, their Valentine’s Menu is available for the 6:30pm sitting on the 14th.
Restaurant reservation are essential on Valentine’s Day, so why not book a table at a restaurant overlooking the beautiful Ramsgate Royal Harbour, or head out to the countryside for a indulgent Valentine’s lunch or dinner at Chapel House Estate.

If you’re thinking of staying in Ramsgate, then the Albion House Hotel has romantic overnight stays with meals, sparkling wine, chocolates, flowers, and sea views, as well as a Valentine’s Day menu and live music in the evening. The San Clu Hotel also has live music, special Valentine’s Day cocktails and a lovely Valentine’s Day Menu. You can even buy Valentine’s chocolates from the local chocolatier Clareys Chocolates at Coco Latino.


During Half-term The Micro Museum have open days on the 14th & 21st of February (1:00 to 4:00pm) and the RAF Manston History Museum have a Lego event ‘Bricks at the Museum‘ from the 14th to the 22nd of February (10:00am-4:00pm).

Theatres, Musical Halls and Cinemas
Ramsgate is the home of The Granville Theatre and the award winning Ramsgate Music Hall, both venues are hosting lots of events to keep you entertained throughout February. Taylor Hall Theatre at St Lawrence College and Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School Theatre also have events this month.

The Police Panto ‘The Far Fetched Fable of Fanny Folkly’ is on the 19th, 20th and 21st of February.

The school theatre is showing ‘The Addams Family‘ and ‘We will rock you – The Musical‘.
Ramsgate Community Cinema
Don’t forget to check out what’s on at the Ramsgate Community Cinema. The cinema typically offers a diverse mix of films, from international cinema and documentaries to classics and independent features.
Hotels, Bars, Pubs, Cafés, Clubs and more
Local Hotels, Pubs, Bars and Cafés are hosting musical events and comedy events. There’s a poetry night at The Conqueror and quiz nights at The Pub, The Falstaff, the Montifiore Arms, The Bellevue Tavern, The Churchill Tavern, the San Clu Hotel, the Queens Head, Violets, and Seabird.
