Celebrating the annual switch on of our harbour boats. Each year, Ramsgate's boat owners volunteer to light up their boats for our delight! The 1st of December is the first unofficial, official day and they stay lit up throughout the Christmas month! Come down and enjoy the spectacle and see the harbour sparkle! The Queen's Head in Harbour Parade celebrates in style with live music from 6pm.
A mix of portraiture and wildlife thread paintings, hand stitched by artist Emily Tull. Ramsgate's Annual Christmas Lights Switch On event kicks off at midday on Sunday, 26th November! There will be the usual festive fun with the Human Snow Globe returning after popular demand creating fabulous photo opportunities along with the land train which has been enjoyed by all the family for many years. There will be Cartoon characters along with the Carnival Queens popping up throughout the afternoon along with plenty of live entertainment from midday at the stage (outside Red Lion pub) and lots more including a Christmas carousel for the little ones, children's stalls and the wonderful handmade craft fair. Harry Potter Themed Games Weekend. Fri 27th, Sat 28th & Sun 29th October. 1-4 pm. Come and join Harry and his friends on the games we'll be loading onto our classic consoles. Enjoy magical adventures or test your hand - and your broomstick - at playing Quidditch. Budding Hogwarts students in costume, aged 14 years and younger get in for just £2. There is no event charge for everyone else - all included in the standard admission price. Advance booking not necessary. Just turn up at platform 9 3/4 (or The Micro Museum) on Church Hill in Ramsgate.
